Bobs Roberts Memorial Hospital opened in 1930 as the University of Chicago’s first pediatric hospital. The hospital had a national reputation for outstanding patient care and comprehensive research.
The Bobs Roberts Memorial Hospital was named in memory of Charles Radner Robert (Bobs) Roberts, the 5-year-old son of a philanthropic Chicago family. This building now houses office and laboratory space for the University of Chicago Medicine.
