The Campaign for Biology and Medicine (1991–1996) raised funds to increase student financial aid, expand patient care offerings, recruit and retain faculty, and create programs—such as the Urban Health Initiative—that strengthen the University’s partnership with communities on Chicago’s South Side to improve health and access to care.
