Jules F. Knapp Medical Research Center

The Gwen Knapp Center for Lupus and Immunology Research was established in 1991 to foster discovery in autoimmunity and help advance new therapies through multidisciplinary research, clinical trials, and the training of clinicians and students.
The Knapp Center is named in honor of Gwen Knapp, an advocate for lupus research. She and her husband, Jules Knapp, were longtime supporters and volunteer leaders at the University of Chicago Medicine: Gwen was a life member of the Division of the Biological Sciences and Pritzker School of Medicine Council and Jules was a life trustee on the University of Chicago Medical Center Board.
