The Marjorie B. Kovler Viral Oncology Laboratories opened in 1978. Today the space houses several Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering research groups dedicated to advancing the fields of biomedical and environmental engineering.

The Laboratories are named in honor of Marjorie B. Kovler and were built with support from Marjorie’s spouse Everett Kovler. Everett served on the Division of the Biological Sciences and Pritzker School of Medicine Advisory Council at the University of Chicago.
