Completed in 1950, the Nathan Goldblatt Memorial Hospital for Neoplastic Diseases (Goldblatt Memorial Hospital) originally housed cancer research facilities.

Goldblatt Memorial Hospital is named in memory of Chicago retail entrepreneur Nathan Goldblatt. The Goldblatt family’s support for cancer research initiatives at the University of Chicago Medicine spans several decades and multiple generations of family members.
